Qld: Man stabbed at party

BRISBANE, April 8 AAP - A 22-year-old man has been charged over a stabbing at a party
in central Queensland.

Police said two men were drinking at a party at Clermont, north of Emerald, yesterday
when they began fighting outside the Racecourse Road home about 5.30pm (AEST).

Police said during the fight the 22-year-old went inside the house and got two knives.

He allegedly stabbed a 23-year-old man after he had been punched by him in the head twice.

The injured man was taken to Clermont Hospital and then airlifted to Townsville to have surgery.

The 22-year-old will face the Clermont Magistrates Court on April 23 on one count of
unlawful wounding.
