Loyalty - and Jeff Bagwell's restructured contract - finallyconvinced Craig Biggio to stay with the Houston Astros.
The All-Star second baseman agreed Thursday to a four-year,$22.36 million contract after considering offers from Colorado, St.Louis and San Diego.
"The decision came down to the people here," said Biggio, whoturned 30 on Thursday. "I consider myself a loyal person, and I'vebeen a part of this organization for eight years. We're going tomake it work. I want to win in an Astros uniform."
Bagwell had said he would consider asking to be traded if Biggiodid not return.
