Qld: Hanson appeal lodged

PAULINE HANSON's lawyers have lodged an appeal against her conviction and three yearjail sentence for electoral fraud.

Agents for her solicitor CHRIS NYST lodged documents with the Queensland Court of Appeallate this afternoon.

A Brisbane District Court jury yesterday found HANSON and co-accused DAVID ETTRIDGEguilty after more than nine hours of deliberations.

HANSON and ETTRIDGE pleaded not guilty to fraudulently registering One Nation in Queenslandon December the 4th, 1997.

HANSON also pleaded not guilty to dishonestly obtaining almost $500,000 in electoralreimbursements after the 1998 state election.
