NSW: Mounted police lead parade for Year of the Horse
Mounted police and a team of Clydesdales will lead Sydney's Chinese New Year FestivalParade today in celebration of the year of the horse.
About 1,200 people will participate in the parade which starts at the Sydney Town Hallin George Street at 11am.
At least 15,000 people are expected to line the city streets to watch the spectacle,including a new 55-metre long dragon moved by 35 people.
The parade will travel from Town Hall into Liverpool St, Sussex St, Hay St and HarbourSt to finish at the Sydney Entertainment Centre at 12 noon.
