COMMUNICATIONS AND TECHNOLOGY SUBCOMMITTEE TO HOLD ADDITIONAL HEARING, VOTE ON DISAPPROVAL OF FCC'S INTERNET RULES MARCH 9

WASHINGTON, March 7 -- Republicans on the House Energy & Commerce Committee issued the following news release:

The House Energy and Commerce Communications and Technology Subcommittee, chaired by Rep. Greg Walden (R-OR), will hold the second hearing this year on the Federal Communications Commission's efforts to implement controversial Internet rules on Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. in room 2123 of Rayburn House Office Building. Following the legislative hearing, the subcommittee will hold a vote on H.

J.

Res. 37, a Resolution of Disapproval to reverse the FCC's rules. Text of the resolution is available HERE.

The hearing is open to the public and press. Opening statements, witness testimony, and a live webcast will be available online at http://energycommerce.house.gov.
