WHILE legislators across the land debate what the penaltiesshould be, if any, for texting while driving, Joshua Wayne Cadle,21, of Cross Lanes discovered the penalty for texting while peddlingpot - as much as five years in prison.
Cadle texted what he thought was a friend, asking if the personwanted to buy some marijuana.
"Yes" came the reply from a surprised state trooper.
The two arranged a meeting, and the trooper arrested Cadle, whopleaded guilty on Monday to possession and delivery of marijuana.Instead of prison, Kanawha Circuit Judge Charles King said Cadlewill be sentenced to probation.
Technology is wonderful, but ancient values endure.
